“Never seen sunshine like this, never seen the moon glow like this, never seen a waterfall like this, never seen the lights on like this, never dug someone like this, never had tasty lips to kiss never had someone like this…fortunate to have u dear, I’m so glad u in my world, just as sure as the sky is blue I bless the day that I found you…” Maxwell
2 months of the year almost done…another year flying past at a rate of knots!! Thanks for the responses to last weeks email regarding topics for the future, think I have enuff to keep me going for a week or 20.
So what-a-goin lads and lasses? Tis all good in this neck of the woods. Aint no wolves prowling around, even if there are, bring it is what I say.
There was one comment posted on the website following last week’s email and if you want to have a read, visit, http://mondaymail.blogspot.com.
I received an email of topics from Maria Guilia, which I thought would dovetail nicely with the first part of last weeks email. Young, good-looking, successful, educated, got a job and making enough loot to live on…How many people do you know that fit this profile? I can think of pleeeeenty! But the majority of US are still very unattached and really not too phased by it. On the contrary, you hear your mates saying that they are going to get married and you are like what are u insane? Why the shift in mentality?
I was having a conversation with my old man last week, he was just reminding me that I am not getting any younger, with my 28th Birthday around the corner (26th Feb, just incase you forgot, and to add it I have just become a home owner so I need pots and pans and tv and dvd and…), and that when he was 28 he was married with a little one and one on the way. But oh how times have changed?
Y is this? Is our pursuit for wealth and success taking the place of love and companionship? Is it because the traditional reasons men and women got hitched in the past no longer applies? You know the reasons of the man providing and the women bearing the little ones. Nowadays, women don’t need u? what for? If they needs to get some all it takes is a little battery power? Money? They make their own and plenty of it too! Is it because the age of being “single and ready to mingle”? Or is it just an apprehension to commitment is upon us?
But then again marriage, overrated? Is it necessary in this day and age? Is it worth the effort? The make ups, the break ups, the laughter, the sorrow, the kids, the living together…but mind you this all u can get without saying I do before God and man, there is no for better or for worse till death do us part. But marriage though has tons of merit, u get to stay with the SAME person for ever and ever Amen , no u get to grow with someone, u find someone who compliments you, note I didn’t say complete, cos that’s so blasé and demeaning of oneself, you don’t want someone to complete you, rather you want someone who you can experience the being of you with. (kcuf this neega is deep!!). you get to grow old together, u know that there is always someone there who can brighten up your day, share your sorrows, your dreams, your joy your pain, there is always someone there who can be a pain in the posterior end when you don’t need it (how did this come amongst the good points), you wont have to always have to scamper for partners to social events if going alone bothers u….I could go on, but I wont.
I don’t have the answers, but may be you might, cos I fit slap bang in the middle of the single and unattached demographic
Come now share your thoughts? I demand answers, either a reply to the mail or posted on the website.
I could go on, but I am trying to make this mail shorter, cos it’s a helluva a job reading all these words of wisdom spewed onto paper.
So on that note I sign off…
Birthdays…
18th Sarah B…Happy b-day girl
Quotes
You gain strength, courage and confidence
by every experience in which you really
stop to look fear in the face...You must do
the thing you cannot do."
- Eleanor Roosevelt
Take this day, this moment, with all its flaws, and
make the very most of it. Rather than complaining
about what you don't have or where you'd rather be, make
full use of where you are, of what you do have.

Thanks again for all the topics you all mailed through, take care and enjoy the last 2 days of the week.
Much love
Y
