Eeeh so like howzit peops, miss me last week ☺ yup proper laziness set in mixed with a lack of fresh stories to write about man. Had the same problem this week, but I think I am cured, well I hope yeah…but we’ll get to that in a little while.

Greetings from a very gloomy looking cape town, looks like the miserable rain is upon us, yip maybe time to head back up north ;) Bitter morning Joburg chills warm days, yummm ☺

Its been such a positive yet testing last 8 months. On the work front I haven’t been doing absolutely nothing even though it feels like it because we not getting paid just yet but Inshallah it will come so not really too phased about that with friends like you looking after for my well being how could I be phased ;)

The last 2 weeks have been most exciting I have had in a while though ☺☺☺ met a lovely lass who has kept me a helluva excited..but hold it, hold it hold it…. no romance there though, you know how I roll ;) but its been an absolute ripper!

So onto this weeks email so as I said in my opening email, I was struggling to find this weeks topic and then a few minutes ago on my way home I saw this elderly beggar on the side of the road. Man looked like he was auditioning for a place in the remake of Bruce Lee’s drunken master, he was HAMMERED!! Anyway so he approaches me and speaks to me in a language that resembled English with a tinge of Afrikaans and a whooole lot of druken slur. I made out that he wanted some money etc. my answer to him was if I give you money you will just buy booze and that’s not right man!!!

Anyway on my way home I thought about it? Now who the heeeeel do I think I am telling this bra that drinking isn’t right for him? Have I ever walked a centimeter in his shoes? Err no. so let me step back and think and once again its me being a know it all and thinking I know what his life is like but endulge me for a while if you can.

The man wakes up in a shelter, under some bridge, in a doorway or in a makeshift shelter made of cardboard boxes and a few old tattered blankets. He forages through peoples garbage to try find something to alleviate this burning hunger inside his stomach. His days are spent aimlessly walking or sitting around I guess waiting for death to come and take him from this life. People look at him like he is worthless, probably he feels worthless. His only way to survive is possibly begging and living off the generosity of others

Then along comes this bra (me) cruising by smiling from ear to ear, cos you know that’s what I do, so I clearly look friendly (he woulda spoken to me anyway ☺) man steps to me, I turn down Old Louis for a moment and I have a conversation with this bra whilst patiently waiting for those lights that run my traffic life to turn green, so I can proceed. So we converse, he’s like bra gooi me some bucks so I can get me something. I’m like, nah man bra, I’d much rather give you food than buy you booze. My thinking is thinking is bra booze will kill you, his thinking yeah man now you are on my page!! Nah man. People have you ever been pissed before? Sad as it is true it’s a magnificently happy place! The world is in your mind, you are who or where you want to be, sometimes you even forget where you are. You get to escape. You could be sleeping in a gutter but in your situation it would most probably feel like a penthouse suite at that Burj Al Arab. Food, huh what’s that, I’m hammered, rain, mmm feels like someone stroking my face…leftovers from the garbage can…yummy sushi from the Salushi….so they say ;) oh my papsak wine…Just one sip of you, and the the worlds alright with me…

I can’t actually do it, buying booze for the less fortunate(not that I am so well off, but I have been blessed) cos in my mind, sitting in my ivory tower, believing I know it all, it feels like the wrong thing to do as it doesn’t help their situation at all and it also adds to some of the social ills BUUUUT peoples let me be honest man, if I was in a presumably helpless situation, bra, keep ur bread boss, keep your milk and your wise words like you know me man (MCIMN)…Just bring on the Whiskey, you know I’m not picky I’ll be as chuffed as that Dewey commentator from the IPL with a bottle of crackling or Old Brown Sherry…just take me away from this reality man, cos life suuuucks!!!

Anyway just a thought that crossed my mind a little while earlier. Thasts me for another week, hope all is well with you all would love to hear from you.

“Here it is the groove slightly transformed, just a bit of a break from the norm, just a little somethin' to break the monotony,of all that hardcore dance that has gotten to be,a little bit out of control it's cool to dance, but what about the groove that soothes that moves romance…”

But its almost over here in SA ☺ and a big part of me is saying yaay, me and the heat we don’t work so good ☺ Ok so check this I have a few little ‘topics’ that I have been discussing with some mates over the last few weeks maybe you have been thinking the same thing so lets share ideas.

You know for the last 5 years or so I’ve been quite keen to have a mini me. Guys and girls as the years tick by I realize that if I want to run around with the little guy or girl like the old folks used to do with us, soccer in the garden, library on Saturdays, tennis on Sundays badminton round robins etc. My body weary, I gotsta get cracking soon (assuming the plumbing downstairs works inshallah) cos man the way the joints are acting up I may not be as nimble as I once was and they would get bored playing with me cos id offer no opposition ☺

So what is the problem you might be, you may be pondering…well cos I have been having a bit of a dialogue with myself like us crazy people tend to do from time, it sometimes gets pretty heated these discussions and I have been told that if I don’t tone these conversations down I may run the risk of being committed into an institution, just the mere sound of the word committed got me running to get other people involved in this conversation. So now whats this conversation huh? This institution of marriage. Ya know yes it’s a great institution and I guess its how life was meant to be lived, but there was a time where we thought that the only way around was on foot, or travel long distances by horseback. There was a time when we thought slavery was the only way, oh wait my helper is coming on Saturday, slavery still lives.. I worry man, I worry. I find a lot of the time people get hitched for the wrong reasons man. They do it for the flashing lights, white dress, big rock, loads of mates, its that time and its what its expected blah blah. I on the other hand am scareder (yeah I said it scared…er) than a pig in a slaughter house about this phenomenon. Why? Cos as I said before, nobody cares man, nobody cares. Nowadays the chances of a marriage failing is almost on par with the chances of it succeeding…do I look like a gambler to you?

So what does this have to do with having a little mini me, so last week I was having a pizza with a mate and her mate. She said to me I sooo want to have a child now, but not too sure about the whole marriage thing just yet, I said to her, you know what for the last 5 years or so that’s been me too man, sheee maybe we should have one, really…laugh laugh smile smile. But then I got to thinking that’s actually not a bad idea…in principle, she is a nice lass, driven, not bad looking, so at least my offspring could have a decent chance in life, )cos really lets face it if u r a good looking lad/lass life is a whole lot easier for you, unless ofcourse you are Jigga)has her sh*t together this could work. Then I start throwing in the moral and religious permutations of it being wrong etc.

Then I think to myself AGAIN… nah man so long as I commit to being a good father and being the same kinda pops mine was to me, making sure they are taken care of and brought up knowing right from wrong, respect of people, differences, property etc, the value of hard work and values, knowing that the world does not revolve around you but around your Gods will, then sure that is so much better than being in a fake relationship huh.

Religious nuts would have a right go at me thinking this way, but then we take marriage for example. When vows are exchanged do we not say them before God and man, forever and ever till death us do part?? Yes, perhaps this is a weak argument because not all marriages end in divorce, but with the stats as high as they are would it not be better for me to cut my losses and rather err on the side of caution?

I have so much more to write, but I am trying to keep these blogs short nowadays so next topic.

Totally different topic. But listen to this. I am generally quite a peaceful kinda dude, I really don’t have anyone in particular that gets under my skin, BUUUUTTT in the last few months I have developed one. I don’t hate him at all, but I dislike his dishonesty (in my mind) and the arrogance and self centeredness (if that’s the correct term) in which he conducts his affairs. We had an agreement which I think he has blatantly breached and he refuses to come good on his part. I am considering alternative action but I don’t know if I want it in my life. For a few months I have tried to let it go I really have and have said boss the universe has its way and he will get whats coming to him, but the harder I want to let it go, the more it comes back to me to say dude its bull, what he is, is a playground bully and he needs to be stood up to.

Ok so that’s a very sumarrised version of my point of view because as we all know every story has 2 sides. So anyway earlier this week I was relaying the latest developments to a good friend of mine who is in a similar predicament and we are I guess exchanging notes and I said to him boss that dudes time will come and he asked me a pretty simple but resonating question…Do you really think it will? And he followed it up with I don’t think life is totally fair.

Those 2 comments clearly stuck with me because I am now writing about it. I have always believed that revenge is so energy consuming and brings too much negativity into my aura (a tad homosexual I know) and I always believe that what goes around comes around and sometimes comes around harder than when it went around. Like is there really such a thing as karma?

A few months ago if I had to speak about it, it would be quite emotion filled but nowadays its more about doing what I feel is right and what I am sure without a shadow of a doubt he would do if the shoe was on the other foot.

Going back to karma and the universe putting itself back into equilibrium. There have been a couple of times when I have done a few things random things, I wasn’t too proud of at the time I thought fun and games, but then something not exactly the same, came back and bit me hard in my bum I remembered what I had done and I shrugged and I guess ended up accepting it, perhaps coincidence, perhaps not. Does Newtons theory about for every action there is an equal but opposite reaction hold true for all things?? I sure hope it does man. That being said if you know of any superb contract lawyers who are affordable please let me know ☺

Nah man last weekend I was a rock star thanks to you all for your calls sms’ facebook messages, I guess I don’t have to die to know that people think I am ok ☺ yeah man. Very humbling I tell ya

But anyway what to talk about today? Well I don’t want to be a doomsayer or anything but is it me or is the earth getting a little angry with us? I am thinking in the last 5 years the occurrence of natural disasters that are shaking the world yeah? I think of 26th December 2004, Tsunami in Thailand and some other countries. 2005 Hurricane Katrina, I did some research, in 2005 for example there were 11 hurricanes and tropical storms, 48 floods, 12 earthquakes, since then the list has grown progressively longer, throwing in a swine flu outbreak here, a bird flu outbreak there. This year 3 months old and we have had a monster of an earthquake in Haiti another in Chile floods in Madeira, to name but a few. I do believe that the earths crust is definitely shifting but ey I aint no geologist, but I’d like to hear your take on this.

Anyway absolutely nothing we can do about it because what will be will be man. Then there is this bug bear that I have and forgive me if I have mentioned it before. So we all know that its less than 100days before we host sports biggest spectacle here in SA, but some idiots are seeing it as a way to make a quick buck right now. Very short sighted I think. June/July are generally plum in the middle of the off season here. We have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to host an event such as this which should bring huge numbers of tourists here, so what do business owners do? They say wait this is a chance for me to charge 300 times what my normal rates are, exaggeration on my part but I think you get what I mean.

I guess you guys are with me on this, but even if they charged normal season rates plus 10/15% wouldn’t that have gone a whole lot further in guaranteeing them future business. Because what we have done now is priced ourselves on par with European countries and there is no real benefit for tourists to come here. We have lost our selling point. Beautiful place at an affordable price, if you have Euros, Dollars or Pounds, but nooo lets rape them cos we don’t want them to come back and spend more money with us….pretty dof I tell ya!! But what do I know…

Last week I touch on a Zimbo who is a qualified guy living here in SA, well there are some who haven’t been fortunate enough to have that kind of opportunity here is some a story about the forgotten children of Zim http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00r5ww9

I don’t have much to say this week to be honest, so let me not waffle. Just thought that
