“Here it is the groove slightly transformed, just a bit of a break from the norm, just a little somethin' to break the monotony,of all that hardcore dance that has gotten to be,a little bit out of control it's cool to dance, but what about the groove that soothes that moves romance…”

But its almost over here in SA ☺ and a big part of me is saying yaay, me and the heat we don’t work so good ☺ Ok so check this I have a few little ‘topics’ that I have been discussing with some mates over the last few weeks maybe you have been thinking the same thing so lets share ideas.

You know for the last 5 years or so I’ve been quite keen to have a mini me. Guys and girls as the years tick by I realize that if I want to run around with the little guy or girl like the old folks used to do with us, soccer in the garden, library on Saturdays, tennis on Sundays badminton round robins etc. My body weary, I gotsta get cracking soon (assuming the plumbing downstairs works inshallah) cos man the way the joints are acting up I may not be as nimble as I once was and they would get bored playing with me cos id offer no opposition ☺

So what is the problem you might be, you may be pondering…well cos I have been having a bit of a dialogue with myself like us crazy people tend to do from time, it sometimes gets pretty heated these discussions and I have been told that if I don’t tone these conversations down I may run the risk of being committed into an institution, just the mere sound of the word committed got me running to get other people involved in this conversation. So now whats this conversation huh? This institution of marriage. Ya know yes it’s a great institution and I guess its how life was meant to be lived, but there was a time where we thought that the only way around was on foot, or travel long distances by horseback. There was a time when we thought slavery was the only way, oh wait my helper is coming on Saturday, slavery still lives.. I worry man, I worry. I find a lot of the time people get hitched for the wrong reasons man. They do it for the flashing lights, white dress, big rock, loads of mates, its that time and its what its expected blah blah. I on the other hand am scareder (yeah I said it scared…er) than a pig in a slaughter house about this phenomenon. Why? Cos as I said before, nobody cares man, nobody cares. Nowadays the chances of a marriage failing is almost on par with the chances of it succeeding…do I look like a gambler to you?

So what does this have to do with having a little mini me, so last week I was having a pizza with a mate and her mate. She said to me I sooo want to have a child now, but not too sure about the whole marriage thing just yet, I said to her, you know what for the last 5 years or so that’s been me too man, sheee maybe we should have one, really…laugh laugh smile smile. But then I got to thinking that’s actually not a bad idea…in principle, she is a nice lass, driven, not bad looking, so at least my offspring could have a decent chance in life, )cos really lets face it if u r a good looking lad/lass life is a whole lot easier for you, unless ofcourse you are Jigga)has her sh*t together this could work. Then I start throwing in the moral and religious permutations of it being wrong etc.

Then I think to myself AGAIN… nah man so long as I commit to being a good father and being the same kinda pops mine was to me, making sure they are taken care of and brought up knowing right from wrong, respect of people, differences, property etc, the value of hard work and values, knowing that the world does not revolve around you but around your Gods will, then sure that is so much better than being in a fake relationship huh.

Religious nuts would have a right go at me thinking this way, but then we take marriage for example. When vows are exchanged do we not say them before God and man, forever and ever till death us do part?? Yes, perhaps this is a weak argument because not all marriages end in divorce, but with the stats as high as they are would it not be better for me to cut my losses and rather err on the side of caution?

I have so much more to write, but I am trying to keep these blogs short nowadays so next topic.

Totally different topic. But listen to this. I am generally quite a peaceful kinda dude, I really don’t have anyone in particular that gets under my skin, BUUUUTTT in the last few months I have developed one. I don’t hate him at all, but I dislike his dishonesty (in my mind) and the arrogance and self centeredness (if that’s the correct term) in which he conducts his affairs. We had an agreement which I think he has blatantly breached and he refuses to come good on his part. I am considering alternative action but I don’t know if I want it in my life. For a few months I have tried to let it go I really have and have said boss the universe has its way and he will get whats coming to him, but the harder I want to let it go, the more it comes back to me to say dude its bull, what he is, is a playground bully and he needs to be stood up to.

Ok so that’s a very sumarrised version of my point of view because as we all know every story has 2 sides. So anyway earlier this week I was relaying the latest developments to a good friend of mine who is in a similar predicament and we are I guess exchanging notes and I said to him boss that dudes time will come and he asked me a pretty simple but resonating question…Do you really think it will? And he followed it up with I don’t think life is totally fair.

Those 2 comments clearly stuck with me because I am now writing about it. I have always believed that revenge is so energy consuming and brings too much negativity into my aura (a tad homosexual I know) and I always believe that what goes around comes around and sometimes comes around harder than when it went around. Like is there really such a thing as karma?

A few months ago if I had to speak about it, it would be quite emotion filled but nowadays its more about doing what I feel is right and what I am sure without a shadow of a doubt he would do if the shoe was on the other foot.

Going back to karma and the universe putting itself back into equilibrium. There have been a couple of times when I have done a few things random things, I wasn’t too proud of at the time I thought fun and games, but then something not exactly the same, came back and bit me hard in my bum I remembered what I had done and I shrugged and I guess ended up accepting it, perhaps coincidence, perhaps not. Does Newtons theory about for every action there is an equal but opposite reaction hold true for all things?? I sure hope it does man. That being said if you know of any superb contract lawyers who are affordable please let me know ☺

I agree with you totally that a child can be born into a loving relationship and flourish in life and that doesn't need to come with a piece of paper that says Marriage certificate on it ! but what I would seriously caution against is having a child with someone that you are not in a commited relationship with a the time you have the child. It may not last forever - that's a fair point but at least you give it a try and if your one of the lucky ones you'll stay together and your child will feel secure - with two loving parents - that love eachother. I think children gain alot of security from seening their parents in a loving relationship and having a child with someone who you don't actually love is asking for trouble. Once the little sprog comes along your entire life will change, you will feel so differently to what you do know you would never believe. If you dont even live together at the outset where is the little guy or girl going to stay ? you wont want to be carting the tiny bundle back and forth and before you know it the fights will begin about how long he or she will be staying at each parents house.

I come from a family with divorced parents so i know how hard that is. All I am saying is that at least start out in a loving relationship and give it your best wether your married or not.

Whose morality is it anyway?
